About Us

I started Pentland HR in 2018, following the birth of my second child to allow me to fulfil the varied job that I love doing, along with the flexibility I require being a working wife and mum. I didn’t want everything I had worked so hard for over the years to fall away.  As a result, I get to work alongside and support some really great clients in many disciplines, share my knowledge and experience and also learn along the way.

With over 17 years HR experience, working in generalist, business partnering and project-based roles I decided in March 2018 to set up on my own providing freelance HR Services to small to medium sized businesses. Most of my experience was in manufacturing, predominately ‘higher risk’ organisations, where I worked closely with Health and Safety and Occupational Health. As a result, I specialise in utilising my previous experiences in assisting and supporting these businesses with their needs.

As a ‘hands on’ founder of the business I play an active role in supporting the needs of my clients by developing relationships and swiftly understanding their requirements to ensure the professional delivery of expertise to meet their particular business needs.

I recognise that every employer is unique, resulting in every service being tailored to a particular situation, in order to meet the needs of that particular business. From my experience there is rarely a single answer or a ready-made solution.

Specialist or larger tasks can be supported by engaging other trusted associates where necessary.
